How to Kill a Process by Port on OS X

On Linux it’s quite easy to kill a process just based on its port:

fuser -k 8000/tcp

The same thing can be achieved on OS X with the following:

lsof -P | grep ':8000' | awk '{print $2}' | xargs kill

Replace 8000 with whatever port you need to kill.
